Between Distances is a raw chronicle of my experiences abroad. It was born out of the combination of my love for unusual destinations with my academic background in history.

This blog is not about showing off or counting countries, nor was it started with the aim of “monetizing” my content. You won’t find lists or superficial posts ridden with key-words written to please affiliates; rather, you’ll find well-researched articles that pay extra attention to the particular historical experience of every city, region, and country I visit—illustrated via anecdotes from Death Metal shows, football matches, pubs, and abandoned sites.

Click around and discover what Between Distances is all about: cultural immersion, passionate exploring, and reckless adventures.
